[Degreeworks-l] Combined PDFs a Real Possibility for DegreeWorks

It was suggested in today's WebEx Conf Call w/Dennis Crowson that it
would be nice to have the all the tech and user guides combined into one
file. I don't know if that was meant sincerely or partly in jest, but
if sincerely, I wanted to let you know that I CAN combine the various
PDFs.

I could combine all the User guides (keeping the 4.0 and 4.0.1 versions
distinct) and all the Technical guides into their own combo files. I
could also place the Installation and Release Guides together.

If it was really needed/wanted, I could combine ALL the possible guides
into one large file (again, keeping the 4.0 and 4.0.1 guides separate)
(est size 15-20 MB). I've experimented with this and it's very easy to
do with Acrobat Professional. I would place it on the shared drive
along w/the individual guides. I just want to know if this was a
serious suggestion and if others think it would help when they're
searching on info. The built-in bookmarks would all be incorporated
into the new combo file(s). So....let me know if this is something you
all want, and if so, would you like them separated by User, Tech,
Installation/Release, or all together.

FYI: When you're in Scribe, SureCode, or Transit, and you click on the
yellow question mark for help, it will automatically open the
appropriate individual user guide. It pulls up the DW 4.0.1 guide for
Scribe and Transit, but pulls the 4.0 guide for SureCode. I don't know
why. There's bound to be a setting somewhere that can be adjusted. This
happens in both Test and PROD.

FYI: I moved all the training agendas and PDFs into a new folder
labeled...wait for it....Training Agendas & Related Docs. Since we
probably won't need to consult some of these again, I thought they
belonged in their own folder. If you see another document on the
W:\Workgroups\DegreeWorks that belongs in this new folder, please go
ahead and move it. The two most recent documents that Dennis Crowson
sent us are placed here as well.

Thanks, Jane
