Just an FYI.  I don't think we use the Apache server, so this patch probably isn't necessary for us, but I'm passing the info along anyway.  It would only affect DW4.0.3 in TEST, not version DW4.0.1 in PROD.  Otherwise, I assume this will be fixed in the DW4.0.5 upgrade...whenever that is released.

Defect 1-80AG09 fixes a problem where the student search functionality fails after clicking the find button.  The problem was isolated to one java script file (DGW_Control.js) and only occurred after 10/10/2009.

Customers running the DW4.0.3 or DW4.0.4 version of the software should download and install the DW4.0.3.1-80AG09 patch, available through the Customer Support Center, Software Downloads area.  The patch file and "Readme" file can be found in the DW4.0.3 or DW4.0.4 Critical Patch subfolder.

A problem with the Find ID search functionality was reported over the weekend that is affecting sites on at least the DW4.0.3 release of DegreeWorks using the Apache server.  When searching for students, no resulting matches are returned.

We are aware of this issue and are working to find a resolution to this as quickly as possible.  We will post any updates regarding the status of this issue to this listserv.
