  1.  CFA Institute Global Research Challenge. <https://www.cfainstitute.org/community/challenge/Pages/index.aspx>
     *   This is typically for credit (FINC 426 or FINC 594 Special Topics Course).
     *   Samford will compete in the first round with universities from Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina.
     *   Need a team of 5 Samford students (graduate and/or undergraduate).
     *   Be available 3pm Thursday Oct 5th for kickoff conference call.
     *   Please notify me of your interest by Sep 30th.

     *   Complete Application<https://www.cfainstitute.org/Forms/dec_june_student_scholarship.pdf> and return via email with resume and transcript.
     *   Incomplete packages will not be considered.
     *   Please submit your application package by Oct 31st.


About the Research Challenge

  *   The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an annual global competition that provides university students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis.
  *   Students work in teams to research and analyze a publicly traded company — sometimes even meeting face-to-face with company management.
  *   Each team writes a research report on their assigned company with a buy, sell, or hold recommendation and may be asked to present and defend their analysis to a panel of industry professionals.
  *   Each year, thousands of university students participate in the CFA Institute Research Challenge.
  *   These students interact with investment professionals and top firms while obtaining real-world experience in equity analysis, research report writing, and presentation skills.
