I'll second that. They remind me of an in-line Yamaha 613.
That said - I would look toward the used instruments. The Bach is a cannon... the easiest (in my opinion) double would be a Conn 72H (single valve), 70H (often with a second valve added) or a 71/73H. The genuine Olds basses will be easy for you too. This is coming from a doublers angle. You could also look at the Getzens - they're a good value, and a tighter leadpipe might be an easy way to start.
As for mouthpieces, two of the best bass trombonists I've ever heard played on a Bach 2G and a Bach 3G. So don't feel forced to go super-large.
