Hey Chris,

I do agree with your sentiments Chris.  And yet, weird though it can
seem, visual arts folk discuss the paint and methods used by the masters -
or rather people that paint (esp frescos and murals, etc) do.  And graphic
artists and ink.

Nothing like getting a bunch of photographers together - they'll soon be
talking about frame size, lenses, digital v film...

And I have a relative that's a film maker.  Do they talk about mixing desks,
video cameras, screen sizes,?  You bet they do  :-D)

And truck drivers, mtorocyclists, cyclists, campers, walkers.

You should hear a bunch of psychotherapists when they get going!

But I agree with your sentiment, I do  :-D)  Just doesn't seem to work that
way.
