Many of the early Karl King marches were written for the circus,

as well as some of his pieces. Several that come to mind are:

* Barnum and Bailey's Favorite

* Robinson's Grand Entrée

* Circus Days (Galop)

* The Big Cage (Galop) (written for the Clyde Beatty big cat act)

* Kentucky Sunrise (written for a horse act - "Kentucky Sunrise"

	was the name of the horse

These (and nearly everything else King wrote) are all still in

print through C.L. Barnhouse in Oskaloosa, IA -- they have

digitized their entire library, and nothing they have ever

published (since being founded in the late 1800's) is out of

print.

Their "Walking Frog" CD catalog will give you more ideas on

appropriate circus music. There's also more info on the Karl King

website at http://karlking. us/.
