[Trombone-l] Navy Band in Texas

Did you happen to notice the equipment used in the bone section?  And  
were they traveling with 3 or 4 bones?

Usually, we would travel with a first, an assistant first, a 2nd, and  
a bass trombonist back in the early 70s.  On a few occasions, it was a  
3-man section, however.

We were playing 88H's with the tenor parts, and also had King 2B's for  
certain selections.  The bass trombonist was playing his own, and I am  
thinking it was a Bach 50 B3.  Some such animal.
