My son, a junior in high school, is working on a trombone piece composed by George Frederick McKay, "Sonata (for Trombone and Piano.)" It is a very challenging piece for him, (NYSSMA Level 6) and his accompanist. I am trying to find a recording of it and have been unsuccessful in all my efforts. Is there any kind of recording of this piece available anywhere?

I contacted the publisher of the piece, Alfred Publishing, and they told me that they don't have a recording. Then I got in touch with the estate of the composer through a webpage and was advised that I can find recordings of the piece by graduate students at various universities, through the oclc worldcat library site under: Author---McKay, George Frederick. So I am going to try that but in quickly glancing at the library site, I am confused as to what I actually have to do. So if anyone else has any other suggestions or knows of an existing recording, they would be most appreciated.

Thank you.
