I bought the Bach 36 for both my kids from 7th grade through high
school. They started on beginner horns in the 6th grade. We made the
step-up, and I had planned to get them into something like the 88H
later -- but neither wanted to move to the next level.

The Bach 36 was a wonderful transition instrument, and will sustain a
good player through high school very well.
