The lowest part was written for, and really shines, when played on bass
trombone, as it recaptures the ethereal fretless bass solos of the original.
This chart also has some fun improvisation space for trombone and then
trumpet.   If the most up to date charts in your book are composed by
Stephen Foster and Sousa, then it's definitely time to check out some new
material!
