Peter,
I think you may be talking about the same thing. With an implant,
the original tooth is gone. They implant a titanium post into the
jaw bone and cement a crown (the false tooth) to it. Is that the
same thing as what you had? I think they have been doing this for
years. I remember hearing a rumor over 30 years ago that Maynard
Ferguson had teeth that screwed in. I'm now pretty sure they were
talking about the posts that were screwed in, not the actual teeth.
