Hello David:

Regarding Ray Robinson mutes: I have one that says Ray Robinson Mel-O-Wah mute on it. It is made of fiber and wood, is black and white, and has cork all the way around where it meets the bell. It is comprised of 2 interlocking cones, and resembles the sound of a solo-tone mute, with a little less edginess.
