[Trombone-l] High and Low notes...

I remember from my tuba playing days that on some 
horns there was a usable open tone a fourth above 
the fundamental. Eb tuba comes to mind. One horn 
I played was a Crown Eb sousaphone. I don't want 
to think about the F sidewinder, with a fingering 
chart permanently attached to the bell.

On French horn, at least, notes played other than 
those which are natural partials are called 
factitious notes.
