Hi Stan!
With deference to Mr. Suter, Once your Doc has 'green lit' playing
again, I'd try the old doctors addage:
"Doc, it hurts when I do that."
"Don't do that"
that said: I'd advise starting with easy buzzig, simple tunes,
download SmartMusic & buzz along with scaler songsthat stay within an
octave.
After 3-5 days, work up to some long tones, lip slurs, etc- still with
a reduce range.
Week 2: light practice, short sessions multiple times. 7-15 minutes,
3-6x a day.
Week 3: if all feels well, no symptoms, no warning signs, have fun!
Slow, steady, gentle, and 300% more air supported than you think you
need. Proper airspeed & continuity reduces tension in the body.
$0.02
Best,
DrJ
