[Trombone-l] TIA And Trombone Practice

Having had a heart attack just over a year ago (a "minor" one they said, but
when it happens to you it isn't 'minor') and the cardiologist had some great
advice.  I would suggest to talk to a cardiologist about the effort required
to play (breathing, pressure on the vascular system, etc.).  If you happen
upon a cardiologist who played in the band in HS at least it will help.  I
was told to not play at all for a few weeks, then return to long tones a
mezzo mezzo and watch it from there as I added intensity.  Best of luck.
