Stan, I would definitely try to minimize practice where you put any pressure on your brain.? Whatever caused the TIAs might be aggravated.? You might want to check in on The Trombone Forum (http://tromboneforum.org) and post a question in the Healthy Trombonist section where our resident MD might give you better information.

Subject: [Trombone-l] TIA And Trombone Practice
In the past several days, I've had 2 TIAs (mini-strokes). I went to my
health plan's emergency room where I was diagnosed. The doctor said that
since these were my first and my health is good, the was no need to keep me
for further study. I didn't tell him about my trombone playing, so my
question to you is "what advice would you give me about practicing?"
Thanks in advance;
Stan
