I just sent out a Finale file (Finale 2006 for maximum file
acceptability) and a PDF file of my edition of the solo part of
Guilmant's "Morceau Symphonique." to the 8 or so folks who requested
it. If I missed anyone or you missed it the first time around, please
let me know. I have identified most, but not all, of my editorial
markings.

Just a reminder - as I said earlier, this includes only the original
cadenza.

Rick, despite your misgivings about the student writing out the cadenza
he wants, I still say have him try to do what he can. Have him DL one
of the old, free versions of Finale Notepad (they're out there - can't
find my bookmark right now) and have him at least type in some of the
notes with no rhythm or only an approximation. Then you or someone
here could finish it.

I don't mean to belabor the point, but anything you can do to get a
student to use his/her ears is a good thing.
