*Invitation!*

All listers are cordially invited to a special performance of the Thailand
Philharmonic [TPO] shortly. The concerts take place on the 30th [7:00 pm]
and 31st [4:00 pm] of January, in the Music Auditorium of the Mahidol
University College of Music [MACM]. The chance to hear a performance of the
Anton Bruckner Romantic Symphony #4 is a rarity in Southeast Asia, but a
world premiere of a Concerto for Bass Trombone written for the performer is
of particular interest to brass musicians.

The composer is my friend Kerry Turner, of the American Horn Quartet and a
distinguished composer whose music many of you know. I commissioned the
Concerto several years ago in Hong Kong, but it was not possible to perform
it then. It is an exciting possibility for me and for bass trombonists
generally, and I invited you all with great enthusiasm to this special
program. If you need further information, please contact me by email. I look
forward to seeing many brass friends at my premiere!

Most of you on the list will of course not be able to get to Thailand for
this event, but when I get the video I will post it on YouTube with my
recital videos: to see those, search for basstrb3 and you will find clips
from my July 1, 2008 recital.

Here are a couple of links for the program and Kerry himself:

Bass Trombone and Low Brass Principal, TPO

PS. Please forward this to anyone you think might be interested!
