First time I performed Beethoven's 5th, I did it on my Bach 16.  Years  
later, I used an alto.  Our 2nd played smaller equipment, too, and the  
section sounded pretty good.

It wasn't quite as much fun on the alto, but it sure was a lot less  
stressful.
