[Trombone-l] case repair

Hmm, my message yesterday got chopped in half, and must have been
confusing. I tried to write:

Instrument cases (hard cases) can be repaired quite well by Luggage
Repair Stores. They can do new handles, hinges, bumpers, latches,
locks, resurfacing, interiors, compartments, zippers. For a fee.

You might well find a new case that you like; hope you do. But if
your current case is a perfect fit and merely has a few flaws, give
it a try. I've had good success several times. If you take the job
to a music store, and if they'll take the job, they'll send it out to
a shop like this usually.

We have ONE of these stores in Tucson. Smaller cities may have none
of course. Yellow pages.

Do the repair guys on this list do this sorta work also?
