Well................
P.D.Q. Bach "wrote" a piece, I believe the title is "Divertimento for 2 Flutes and Discontinuo".
The "dis"continuo part is tambourine & tuba.
In the 2nd mov't (again I'm running on memory, here). The Tuba is to use a a plunger made from a garbage can lid. The tambourinist is to operate it.
So there is a precedent for a Tubist using a "plunger". LOL
