[Trombone-l] transition from trebel to bass clef

I learned the way to do this from my Father when I was about 10 or 11 and it
has bedevilled me all my life. Since
I knew the names of the bass clef notes from piano lessons, my Father said
"Just knock off 2 flats and raise it a tone".
It is almost impossible to erase from your mind things you learn at that age
so I'v been stuck with this approach for over 65 years.
Gets really complicated in sharp keys such as The Ride of The Valkyries
which my orchestra is currently doing.
Oh well, probably too late to change.
