[Trombone-l] Another classic from Schiller

As Chuck from Hickeys wrote recently..."Another sign of the Apocalypse...."

Seriously, wouldn't the net effect be a bass trumpet with a bigger bell?  I
know the alto is Eb and the bass trumpet is Bb but they should be in about
the same tonal range - correct?
