Ah, yes! But will it perplex trumpet players, hmmmm?????
Ya, let me know how it works out.
I've always leaned toward the most compact/portable gear. (Prolly
shoulda played flute, I guess.) Which always makes me smile when I
show up on blues/reggae/pop gigs and the guitar/bass players are
haulin' in these coffins for amps and cases of pedals and it takes
'em 45mins to even get powered up, when I was ready to roll in 5 mins.
Cheers!

Dear Listers,
Thanks for all your help and advice. After vacillating and hemming
and hawing, I finally followed the advice of the lister who
recommended a Peake collapsible. What listed me in its direction was
the fact that it could reach a height of 72", that it collapsed into a
neat 6x6xsomething (two feet?), that it seemed sturdy and that the
carrying bag was included. It set me back $46.00 including shipping
from Elderly Music. Since I am 73 years old, the name of the vendor
was also an attraction. Don't laugh, young'ns. You'll get here soon
enough.
If you're interested, I'll let you know how it works out. Everett
Longstreth is starting a rehearsal band next week and he wants us to
bring our own stands. I have a Manhasset but it is a drag to drag.
Hence my need for a collapsible. I intend to keep it in the trunk of
my car along with other duplicates, like my trombone stand and my mutes.
Wish me luck and thanks for your marvelously helpful and rapid
responses.
Jay
