HI,

I have a collection of Williams horns, and one horn has always been my
favorite of the Wallace by Williams that I have. But it has a name engraved
on the horn, and I have never been able to find anything out about the name.
I presume it to be the original owner. This is from the early to mid 1930's
from what I can tell by the serial number. It is also very unusual like most
of Earl's horns were. It is a .520 bore with a 7.5 inch bell. Very large
bore for that era. It also has a very unique TIS mechanism I have not seen
elsewhere. So it would have been an outstanding horn in its day. So this
player must have been a special guy. And I have always wondered about him.
The name engraved on the bell is R. F. Vasarevic. Has anyone ever heard of a
bone player by that name? I acquired the horn in the Los Angeles area. The
guy it came from was deceased. I did speak to his brother, who did not know
any of the history of the instrument. Any help would be appreciated.
