Trying to convert a young Eupher to 'bone...he's happy right now, I guess

He's got no method book from which to work an develop skills. Was the
original Arban's printed in treble clef for baritone/euph? Anyone know where
I can get a copy?
Is there a better 'bible' for baritone/euph TC than Arban's?
Thanks a lot,

Hi Listers and Bob:

Arban was originally written for trumpet, and you can use the trumpet edition for Euphonium.
Arban is the Trumpet 'bible', and 'bible' is a great word in this context, because you don't teach the bible
chapter-by chapter, or all the chapters.

Arban takes a subject and develops it, too rapidly, and in large 'increments' with toofast grading. He'll move
from quarter note fast to eighth-notes, triplets to 16th notes - even 32nd and 64th notes - with many notes and no places to breath.
This is a 'swim or drown' situation, and many students (mostly of the less motivated kind) have quit playing, not understanding why they can play page 73 but can't play page 74...

Teaching Arban the teacher has to work harder, selecting the propper order of exercises in away that would
not discourage a student; skip/delay difficult stuff; add breath marks and even delete a note here and there to allow
a breath when notation is too "crowded", etc.

Best wishes
