I'm a friend of Jon's, and just got this email from him the other day re:
America's Got Talent and we all missed his appearance on the Today show this
morning:
Hey,
I just wanted to say thank you for all of your support and encouragement
throughout doing America's Got Talent. It really means a lot to me and I
would not have been able to get as far as I did without it. I'm grateful to
have met so many wonderful, talented, soulful and just nice people.
Thankfully I am proud to announce I am booked to appear on the Today Show on
NBC September 9th some time between 9:00 and 9:30 am EST!! Yay!!! I will be
promoting America's Got Talent and discussing what's next in store for me.
Following at 10am to 11am EST, I will be doing a live radio tour. The times
and places are listed below. All times are Eastern Standard Time though the
locations will be in different time zones.
So here's a heads up:
1. In case you want to hang out with me, I am still playing and performing
Thursday nights 9:30pm to 2:00am at the Village Underground with the Village
Underground Band. So if you're around and up to it, stop by and check out
the baddest band in the land. I'm telling you you're guaranteed a good time.
:)
2. I'm continuing to write and record my music. You can hear my latest songs
featuring my trombone playing and singing at www.trombonedancer.com
3. You can also check out my latest blogs at www.jonathanarons.com. I am in
the process of writing a book about race, gender, culture and music named
after one of my blogs "Uncle Tim's Condo".
4. ALSO, I'm selling "Dancing Trombone" t-shirts! They're really hot! Did I
mention fly?! Proceeds go to help support the Melody Arons Center for
Applied Preschool Research. More information is atwww.melodyaronscenter.org
So what's been happening with you? Any drama in your life? I know it can be
overwhelming some times but we can get through it together. Any exciting
things? Gossip? I want details! :)
Alright, hope you're having a good weekend.
Much Love,
Jon
