I know this is not primarily a "for sale" e-mail list, but I have something
that I think is pretty special, and I like the listers so much I'd like to
offer it to them first:
1979 Conn 6H in pristine condition (includes everything shipped with the
axe: original spotless case, set of keys, booklet, slide cream. . .the whole
thing).
Slide is good but still not fully broken in. Has been examined by slide
doctor and had a quick look by John Sandhagen. Smooth as glass but not
fully "lapped".
Played less than twenty times. This must have been set aside in a storeroom
before being bought by the previous owner. I got it on E-bay about three
years ago, and have played it less than twenty times.
This is Abilene, TX manufacture, BUT and the big item--during the last year
when Zig Kanstul was the manufacturing manager in the Conn plant. He shaped
that plant up to the point where they were making good horns (unfortunately,
the bad reputation had already set in and Conn had to do something to
eliminate that). I know good brass manufacture and this horn is quite well
made.
Will be putting together some photos and will be able to provide. I'm
really only parting because I can use some dough and have five tenor bones.
My King 2b and my Bach 16M basically fill the role that this horn would take
(jazz or lead in jazz group)

I found a used Cronkhite case. No one inquired about the BAM
softpack, so it is now on eBay, and a very good deal at the moment.
