[Trombone-l] Another Roberts Recording

Years ago, Nelson Riddle wrote a wonderful bass trombone feature for Mister
Roberts with 4 brass accompaniment (2 trpts, horn & tuba). It is entitled
"Five Pieces for Bass Trombone." It was released as a "Music Minus One"-TYPE
of recording with Mister Roberts playing on side A and on the B side,
without soloist. The part was included.

I have long since lost the 'record' (remember those black plastic things?)
but I found a set of parts via an inter library loan. They were somewhere in
Arizona.

Wonderful piece, wonderful playing. I don't remember who the trumpeters
were, but Tommy played tuba and I THINK Ralph Pyle was the hornist.
