Eric Edwards has, to the best of my knowledge, created the first
Solo-Tone mute for bass trombone!
It has been designed and built to fit a bass trombone bell and is not
a reworked tenor trombone sized model.
The response is terrific and it's a relief to have a truly good
sounding Solo-Tone for bass trombone.
Imagine, no longer having to endure the snickers of trumpet players in
anticipation of an upcoming solo, or ducking behind your stand to
avoid the scowl of the Broadway conductor after trashing the exposed
Solo-Tone passage.
You can now be the envy of fellow pit musicians, avoid the agony and
embarrassment of Solo-Tone writing, and revel in the limelight of
"mute envy"!
Contact Eric directly at boneman88 at sbcglobal.net for information on
ordering and converting an existing mute.
Disclaimer: Eric takes no responsibility if you need a larger mute bag
or for providing the trumpet section with other amusement.
