John Wassom also has an earlier collection called "Combo Blasters for Pep Band."  These are in four parts, with marching-size part books for the various band instruments.  They work well with as few as four players, or with a full band.  There are seperate books also for keyboard/synthesizer, guitar, electric bass, and drum set; if you don't have these, the rythm section parts are included on the CD or MiniDisc.  The CD also includes full performance tracks, helpful for students to hear what they are supposed to sound like.

The sequel was done by Victor Lopez:  "More Combo Blasters for Pep Band."  A third collection by Victor Lopez is also good; it's "Combo Blasters Take 3."

Alfred is the publisher.  Here's the list of part books available:
http://www.alfred.com/alfredweb/front/ProductDetail.aspx?itemnum=%20MBC9601CD&pubnum=0  Click further to see the list of tunes in each of the three collections.

Any good band music retailer can get these to you overnight.  (I got mine from Pender's in Denton.  J.W. Pepper is also a possibility, as is RBC in San Antonio.)

Let us know what you find.

Hey Everyone,

So I have this gig in a few days and I need some music. I've got a
book of a few tunes we can do, but I'm still looking for some more
fun stuff to play. It's an 8 piece marching/pep type band. 2
Trumpets, 2 Bones, Euph, Tuba and 2 drums. I've already got Here
Comes the King, Hey Look Me Over, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, Cabaret,
Superstar, Disney Medley.... but I need some more tunes. Does anyone
happen to have any pop or rock tunes for a small group like that, or
even just a pep band? Even just a couple tunes would be cool.

Thanks!

Josh Kane
