I bought a spray bottle of Lemon Pledge a couple years ago and poured some into a sprayer to carry in my case. The caveat to Pledge is getting the right amount on the slides. Too much (or any amount on a slide with close tolerances, i.e., Shires) and you've got a sludge pump. Works great on older, worn slides, however, like a Bach 42B I have. BTW, got the Pledge from a fellow lister on this site, not at a retail store. When I was looking, all the big box stores had cleared their shelves so I went looking at the smaller, moms and pops stores, but had no success there, either.> Date: Sat, 11 Oct 2008 18:59:13 -0600> From: needhame1 at plateautel.net> To: trombone-l at server5.samford.edu> Subject: [Trombone-l] What thi socuntry needs...> > > is a slide lubricant that can be applied from a spray can or a pump> bottle -- we just about had it with Pledge in a pump bottle, but they've> discontinued that product.> > Earl> > -- > KD5XB -- Earl Needham> Clovis, New Mexico DM84jk> http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cw_bugs> Quoting from the Coast Guard: ZUT> _______________________________________________> Trombone-l mailing list> Trombone-l at samford.edu> http://maillists.samford.edu/mailman/listinfo/trombone-l
