I bought the last 2 5B's in the factory and yes, they are spec'd just like a
4B--same rotor and bore but with a gold brass 9" bell.
BTW, I had an 8B and the bell was 10.5"...

If memory serves (and I'm an old codger, too), wasn't the 5B just a 4B with
a 9" bell? I believe both were .547 bore models.
And speaking of the 8B, Gosh that thing is huge!
I played one many moons ago when I had 2 Bachs in the shop at the same time.
The 8B had an 11 inch bell. It's in-line valves were F & Eb, producing the
same C in first that my dependant Bachs do (Bb/F/C).
