[Trombone-l] Finally!

Finally! After perhaps 30 years of wanting and looking, I have scored
an incredible acquisition -- a 1938 2B! Just a matter of being in the
right place at the right time. In other words, "even a blind squirrel
finds an acorn every once in a while"...

Bell is silver-plated -- is that original??? And has a nice gold wash
inside the bell.

It plays NICE. Some small-bore trombones have to get into the high
register, and EXTREME high register to sing -- this one has a nice rich
tone all the way around -- high, low, and in between. Now if only I
still had something going we would be in business -- I think I'm going
to have to take it with me in the 18-wheeler to get my chops going
again! I played a little tonight and felt about as stiff as cardboard
-- I haven't even picked up a trombone for perhaps 10 months or more.

	But that's about to change!

My, my -- I've got to get it out of the gig bag NOW and play a bit!

	Happy!
	Earl
