Hey everybody:
I have been researching instruments, trying to locate an affordable
contrabass trombone. It just occurred to me that one thing I have neglected
to do was to put my search on the trombone-l... well, here it is: I am
looking for a decent F contra [Yeah, Tom Izzo, I know, I know!]
My problem is that where I am living and working now, they are the next best
thing to impossible to locate and try out. and the horns on sale on the Web
cost about half a year's salay! I was hoping to find out about some obscure
Chinese company making them, but no luck so far. [although I did play a
Tianjin symphony tenor today that was quite respectable... at a little
over... US$500! Imagine!] So, I am checking whether one or another of the
listers has a used Alexander[Haag, Thein, Kanstul] or other that they are
willing to part with. Let me know, OK?
