Rumor has it that the orchestra's tuba player was possibly having a
fling with Mrs. Dvorak, so when they went on tour, Mr. Dvorak added
the tuba part so that the tuba player wouldn't be home alone with the
missus.
Probably an urban legend, but it's as good a reason as any for
explaining where that part came from...
