Subject: [Trombone-l] Rim Survey
Greetings all,
I have to do a quantitative research project for a research class I am
taking. The point is more to generate some numbers and play with them
to explore the process, than to really seriously explore a topic,
although if something interesting comes up, you never know.
I will ask three questions that require simple one word answers. If
you would be so kind as to reply to me and answer the three questions,
it would be most helpful. I'll share the results with the group in
the form of raw numbers. No one's name will be attached to their
answers (not that it is an all that controversial subject).
1) Do you consider yourself a professional trombonist or an amateur
trombonist?
2) Do you regularly play trombones of differing bore size (i.e. small
bore tenor and large bore tenor, or bass and tenor)?
3) Do you use the same size mouthpiece rim on the different sized
trombones?
Thanks,
Jeff
