These medleys are designed to provide interest to performer and  
audience, yet are fairly straight-forward to enable performance with  
minimal rehearsal.

Tchaikovsky - Nutcracker Suite - An arrangement of the Six  
Characteristic Dances and the Waltz of the Flowers. Perfect for the  
holiday season or anytime of year. There are two versions of the  
Chinese Dance, one in Bb that is true to Tchaikovsky and one in F that  
is simplified. There are also two versions of the Dance of the Flutes,  
one where the two trumpets and horn play the solo flute parts and one  
where the horn, trombone, and tuba play the solo flute parts.

Radetzky March (2 trpts.,hn.,trom.,tuba) by Johann Strauss, Sr. was  
composed in 1848 as a show of support for Austria's ruling class, and  
is named after Field Marshall Joseph Radetzky. This patriotic piece  
has become a classic that is often performed on New Year's Day.
