Dear Listers,

The Aardvark Jazz Orchestra was just nominated for Best Jazz Artist in  
the 2008 Boston Phoenix/FNX Best Music Poll.  The nomination coincides  
with the appearance of our latest CD, American Agonistes.  It's a big  
deal for us.   This is the first time in the band's existence (35  
years) that we've been nominated.

The band uses four trombones: Bob Pilkington (lst), me (2nd), Jeff  
Marsanskis (3rd and bass trb), Bill Lowe (bass trb and tuba).
