[Trombone-l] Spammers on Trombone L list

Stolen is the likely answer. The most likely way is that one of the
list members has your address in his/her address book, and their
computer got a virus. Then all of the addresses on that computer are
now on the spammer lists. There are other ways, but that seems like
the most likely these days.
Good spam filters, or the delete button seem to be the only answer. I
use a gmail account for the list, and get very little spam on this
address. I think the gmail spam filtering is pretty good.
