[Trombone-l] equipment question

There's a Scotch Ale made by Moylan's Brewery in Novato (30 miles
north of San Francisco) called "Kilt Lifter". At 8%, it'll certainly
do that after 2 or so. But it's actually quite tasty to boot. So it
sneaks up on you. Moylans.com :: If you see it in your local packy,
it's worth a go.

My beer of choice is "Skull Splitter". I believe its reffered to as
a "Scotch Ale".

How is that defined, other than "beer that puts hair on your chest"?
