Try Ferguson's as well. They were a great help in getting 10 Softtones of
different sizes for the bones in both big bands in which I play.

Beldon -
It might have been a "soft" mute--sometimes used in
place of a bucket. They're easier to slip on and off
and create a sound similar to a bucket mute. See:
