Alex,

 Bach is supposed to be the standard for Bass trumpets in the US.  I got 
a good deal on an old Holton, and it seems to play pretty well.  I know 
a guy in one of the Mexico City orchestras that has a  Holton that likes 
it pretty well also.  I have heard the Getzens can be pretty good if you 
don't have the money to spend on the Bach.  All are Bbs.
