I was presenting a Finale clinic the last 3 days, and was wishing I  
had better sounds just for the "wow" factor to kick in.

You're right.  I'll look at them more carefully.  The reason I didn't  
load the free GPO sounds was my Ram limitation.  512 k doesn't cut it  
in 2008.

Wait... maybe I need a new 'puter!


Nawwwww.   I could use a new bone before I sprung for toys.

I don't remember what they sound like.  I never use the free sounds -  
too many other limitations, also.  But, the free GPO sounds are  
better than an software synth, sure, but the range limitations, etc.  
are a problem.

I used to consider good playback a frill, too. But when you hear the  
quality of the demos you can do with Garritan sounds (with some work,  
admittedly), you might change your mind.
