Hey Mike.

I have been on Trombone-L for some years now, and I enjoy it very
much. I have "met" a number of great new friends here, and there is
sometimes some lively trombone chat going on. I believe the way the
list works these days... if you hit "reply", you send a message to
the individual. You have to selectively "reply to all" in order for
the message to go to the list at large.

Someone with more knowledge of the "L" will have to tell you how many
members there are. It used to be in the hundreds and hundreds. I
ended up serving as mastering engineer for Doug Yeo's "Take One" CD
some years back (I think that was the title of the CD). I had never
met Doug before trombone-L. But I was answering some recording
questions, and next thing I know the bass trombonist of the Boston
Symphony is asking if I'll help with a new CD project. Talk about fun!?

I am willing to bet you are that great arranger/trombonist, Mike
Barone, of Tonight Show fame. We bought several of your charts back
in the late 80s and early 90's. I do hope that you will give the
"new" trombone-L a little time to before you pull out and log off.

The sharing of trombone information here has been most helpful to me
personally over the years. And meeting friends, even in this virtual
world, is priceless.

Welcome to trombone-L, from member to member!

I just joined this. I am getting personal emails from friend to
friend sent
to me. I don't want this. I thought this was a bulletin board. People
announcing what they're doing. Not this chatting back and forth. Why
don't
they use their own emails. How many people on this list? If this is
what
this is I'm out of here. I just want to be able to get some Trom.
info and
tell other players what I'm doing. Any humans behind this site? Mike
