Well, you could try starting an interesting thread about the trombone
and trombone playing.

Or you could just flame everybody.

Whichever you think does the most good, man.

Now that I got that out of the way, I have to confess that I googled
your name, in case you have played somewhere, and - you have! You've
got some real cred! I am impressed, Michael.

Let me (if you don't mind) paste this little nugget here from your CD
"You Name It":
---
Mike Barone, composer, arranger, and trombonist has played with the
bands of Louie Bellson,
Gerald Wilson, Terry Gibbs, Lalo Schifrin and Dizzy Gillespie. Other
writing and playing credits
include: Quincy Jones, Hank Mancini, John Williams, Bill Conti, Frank
Rosolino, Maynard Ferguson,
Ernie Watts, Dave Grusin and Carl Saunders to name a few. Mike also
wrote over 300 compositions
and arrangements for Doc Severinsen and the Tonight Show Band, including
two songs which were
frequently used for ending themes, Peachy and Superslick. Mike has also
written many times
for the Academy Awards show. His latest CD is Mike Barone Big Band Live
2005!

I saw elsewhere that you studied with Haney. I never got to study with
him, but got to know him well. He used to come down to our concerts a
lot.

(We also had a memorable date with Louis Bellson and his wife Pearl that
we still talk about now and then here.)
