Most solo ballads that are scored in the flügelhorn range are good for bass
trombone providing that the melody does not clash with the lower harmony
parts.  Also Sinatra style (baritone voice) charts transcribe well for bass
'bone.  In this vein, George Roberts' music-minus-one albums "Big Band
Ballads" and "Unsung Hero" are excellent play-alongs.

Shameful reminder of my own charts for solo bass 'bone and big band:
"Mr. Nice Guy" (slow ballad) (also with brass and concert band backing).
