[Trombone-l] Bass Trombone Feature with Jazz Band

Folks,

A customer asked me this today and I'm stumped.  Any ideas?

we are looking for a bass trombone solo feature in a jazz band setting. our jazz band is probably not at the level or north texas state, but we have good players.  i will play the first two movements of the brubeck concerto in my senior recital. i can play comfortably up to an a.  i love pedal tones down to a pedal f. all styles are welcome.  I'm not sure if this information helps but i am trying to give you as much information so that you can guide me appropriatly.  i also need a recording of anything you would reccomend as my band director would have to approve my suggestion.  i am willing to buy any cd if it is a jazz album.
