Try hotels.com for discount pricing on places near LAX. One of the search
options is 'search by location' and LAX is a search location.

There are a whole bunch of hotels right on Century Blvd.  That is the main
road running from the Freeway to the airport.  Within a tenth of a mile of
the airport you have the Holiday Inn, and the Radisson Hotel LAX.   Google
on "Hotel near LAX" and you will get a URL:

http://losangeles.airporthotelguide.com/airporthotels.html

Which lists a bunch within either a mile or a few miles.  Most have shuttles
picking up roadside in the big rectangular roadway outside of baggage.

Hello List Members,
I will be making a trip to California in May, and will be arriving at LAX
late. Is there a hotel on-site? The next morning I will be heading up to
Santa Barbara, and want to make the drive in the morning on Hwy 1. Any
suggestions would be appreciated. I think that I want to stay at/near the
airport the first night. The rest of the weekend I will be in Santa Barbara.
