Hey Dave. You can join by filling out a form located on the webpage that is
listed on the bottom of your message (you see
http://maillists.samford.edu/mailman/listinfo/trombone-l ).
To see the sign up form section of the web page you have to read down past
the introductory information on the top fold of the page. Basically you
just input a few specifics like your name and email address, and then, after
a check period, you will be joined up to the mail list.
The other message about the slide lubricant and so forth was a joke. . . .A
pretty funny one, if you have been around here for a while. We've had
rather extensive (better put as very extensive) discussions of slide
lubricants here.
Hope this works for you. McGill looks like a lovely campus. Montreal,
N'est-ce pas?
LUBETALK:
Anyway I've noticed good performance from mixing Slide-O-Mix (or Rapid
Comfort which is similar), and perhaps Trombotine, or maybe SOM and REKA
Super Slide together after a thorough clean out of the outer slide. It seems
to work particularly good right after the mix up, but less good if I don't
regularly clean the outside slide.
